SCHOOLS IN THE MUSEUM PROGRAMME
For the new school year, the Educational Activities Office of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia MUVE addresses its wide range of activities and moments of in-depth study – including in major temporary exhibitions – for the museums and/or for the classroom, to all schools of all levels – nursery school, primary school, high school, university and equivalent – and to their teaching staff.
Led by specialised museum educators, the activities are conceived maintaining an interdisciplinary approach and a direct thread with the current educational and didactic programmes, aiming at the full involvement of children through interaction and dialogue.
The programme has been developed in line with the goals of AGENDA 2030 for sustainable development.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
SCHOOLS AT THE MUSEUM
Educational activities carried out in the museum with specialised museum educators. They are subdivided into:
- guided tours: itineraries in the museum proposed with an interactive approach and materials that remain at the disposal of pupils and teachers in order to fix and integrate the lived experience in the classroom as well;
- workshops: experiments and manual activities to be carried out in the classroom or in a museum space, in order to learn about artistic, scientific and compositional techniques or peculiarities that are difficult to translate with theory alone. They usually include an initial preparatory part with a visit to the museum or exhibition.
LANGUAGE LEARNING IN A MUSEUM
The museums become tools for learning or improving a foreign Language (FL) by employing the CLIL method (Content and Language Integrated Learning), or by following an active approach to Italian culture and language (L2) for immigrant children. But in our opinion, integration goes beyond “just” the linguistic aspect: for this reason we have long studied, tested and prepared special projects in an intercultural key.

INCLUSION & SPECIAL NEEDS
Activities are structured to include all students, but can always be adapted to suit special needs through the availability of specific tools, such as translation
