Palazzo Centanni, at San Polo, is the house where Carlo Goldoni was born in 1707. It contains a small museum dedicated to him, a small puppet-theatre from the 18th century and offers modern ways of approaching the writer and the age. It also hosts a very important archive and library (over 30,000 works) of theatrical texts and studies together with authentic manuscripts.
